Academy 12586 1:72 Martin PBM-5A Mariner
PBM-5A Mariner was a Martin-built twin-engined flying boat designed to complement the US Navy’s fleet of PBY Catalinas. The Mariner’s gull-wing design aided take-offs and landings in the water by keeping sea spray away from the propellors and engines. The Mariner was introduced in 1940 and served throughout WWII and the Korean War. This 1/72 scale kit from Academy measures 33.5 cm long and 10.7 cm high when complete. The kit offers two marking options.
